atlas

A grid that spends its whole width on the posts. No hero image, because on a grid the posts are the images, and no sidebar, because a rail costs a column. Topics sit on a rule as a row. Everything is separated by hairlines rather than by tone.

atrium

Soft panels on a plain ground: no rules, no uppercase, sentence-case pills. One inverted panel per page at most, always the subscribe. The lead panel's photograph runs to its own edge.

digest

The page is the list. Every entry is the same row, separated from the next by a hairline and nothing else: no hero, no featured slot, no item larger than its neighbours. One fixed column runs down the left of every view, holding the thumbnail on a listing and the contents on a post, so the text starts at the same place on every page of the site.

folio

A folio of equal plates: every post is the same generous landscape picture with its title set light in a display serif beneath it, two across, with air between them. No lead story and no hierarchy; the eye chooses. The roundest template in the range.

kiosk

grid-simple's structure, rebuilt: a centred hero with a call to action, a search field, topics as icon pills, one lead post at half the frame, then featured posts and all posts as titled grids. Every group is named, so a reader always knows which shelf they are looking at.

signal

An edition front page: a masthead, one lead story, then a quiet register of the rest, with topics on the left and context on the right. Both rails collapse when a site has nothing to put in them.
